CLOSED SINGLE-DANCE EVENTS
(Adult and Junior)

PRO-AM and AMATEUR CLOSED SINGLE-DANCE RESTRICTED SYLLABUS COMPETITIONS
There will be separate divisions for ladies and gentlemen in the pro/am closed single-dance events.
Competitors may dance in three consecutive levels in the Closed events, e.g. Intermediate Bronze, Full Bronze and Preliminary Silver, and in 2 age groups (adults may dance down one age level, juniors may dance up one age level.)
A standards judge will observe all the restricted “closed” single-dance and three-dance events. These categories will be strictly supervised and competitors committing infractions may be penalized or disqualified.

“Closed Competition Syllabus Guidelines”
For Closed International Style competitions, use NDCA approved figures, elements and restrictions. For Closed American Style Bronze and Silver competitions, NDCA approved figures, elements and restrictions must be followed. For Closed Gold, use any of the approved American Style Syllabi of member organizations of the NDCA. (See www.ndca.org/rules-and-results/ APPENDIX 1 NDCA APPROVED FIGURES, ELEMENTS & RESTRICTIONS)

"A" - 16 - 20
"A-1" - 21 - 30
"A-2" - 31 - 40
"A-3" - 41 - 50
"B-1" - 51 - 60
"B-2" - 61 - 70
"C-1" - 71 - 80
"C-2" - 81 & above

JUNIOR & PRE-TEEN AGE DIVISIONS: For Single-Dance Events
"PT-1A" - to 5
"PT-1B" - 6 - 7
"PT-1C" - 8 - 9
"PT-2" - 10 - 11
"JR-1" - 12 - 13
"JR-2" - 14 - 15
"YTH" - 16 – 18 (All Junior Single-Dance events will be danced in the same sessions as the adults.)

AMERICAN STYLE - Dance Selections:
Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Peabody, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Mambo, Merengue, Samba, Paso Doble, Hustle, West Coast Swing
