Instead, these events have been re-scheduled to coincide with the various styles during the week. Please study to schedule carefully for these changes. Age division will be determined by the age of the older partner on the day of the competition. Amateur couples may dance up one age division (PT may dance JR, JR may dance Youth, Youth may dance Adult “A”.) AGE DIVISIONS: PRE-TEEN: 12 & under JUNIOR: 13, 14 & 15 years YOUTH: 16, 17 & 18 years COMPETITION CATEGORIES 301 Pre-Teen Open American Ballroom 4-Dance: W/T/F/VW 302 Junior Open American Ballroom 4-Dance: W/T/F/VW 303 Youth Open American Ballroom 4-Dance: W/T/F/VW 304 Pre-Teen Open American Rhythm 4-Dance: CC/R/SW/M 305 Junior Open American Rhythm 5-Dance: CC/R/SW/B/M 306 Youth Open American Rhythm 5-Dance: CC/R/SW/B/M 311 Pre-Teen Open International Standard 5-Dance: W/T/VW/F/Q 312 Junior Open International Standard 5-Dance: W/T/VW/F/Q 313 Youth Open International Standard 5-Dance: W/T/VW/F/Q 314 Pre-Teen Open International Latin 5-Dance: CC/S/R/PD/J 315 Junior Open International Latin 5-Dance: CC/S/R/PD/J 316 Youth Open International Latin 5-Dance: CC/S/R/PD/J Dress Code: Pre-Teens: Boys - Dress shirt and pants, optional tie and/or cummerbund or vest or black sweater. Girls - Party dress with no sequins, rhinestones, feathers, glitter, fringe or similar decorations. Junior and Youth: “Championship Dress” permitted as per NDCA rules. Syllabus: Pre-Teen couples may only dance Bronze, Silver and Gold syllabus figures from approved syllabi of member organizations of the NDCA as well as the official NDCA syllabus.Junior and Youth couples are not restricted in syllabi when entered in the above events.
